Rajasthan Budget 2026-2027: The Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Diya Kumari presented the budget in the State Assembly for the FY 2026-2027. She also highlighted that the state government is following the path of economic prosperity, suitable and inclusive development inspired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi Vision of ‘’Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’’ and Vision of developed Rajasthan by 2047.

The Finance Minister highlighted that Rajasthan’s economy is estimated to touch Rs 21,52,2100 Crore in FY 2026-2027 and per capita income of the state will rise from Rs 1.67 Lakh to 2.02 Lakh by the end of the 2025-2026 which has been increased by 41.39% compared to the previous state government. The size of the previous budget was Rs 5, 37,000 Crore.  

Rajasthan Budget 2026-2027 Key Highlights:

  • The government proposed Rs 6,800 Crore to provide ‘Tap Water’ to rural areas under CM Jal Jeevan Mission and urban population.

    • Highlights worth Rs 24,000 crore have been issued for drinking water projects. Within one year, 3 lakh new tap connections will be provided, and 6,500 villages will be connected with tap water under the “Har Ghar Nal” scheme.

  • Solar parks will be built in Bikaner and Jaisalmer, around Rs 3,000 Crore allocated in the state budget 2026-27.

  • Integrated Military Complexes will be constructed in the 8 districts of Rajasthan; Beawar, Jhunjhunu, Jodhpur, Phalodi, Khairthal, Tonk, Shergarh and Sri Ganganagar. 

  • Deep Tech and Ai Labs will be established in Bharatpur, Kota and Ajmer, Budget allocation is Rs 30 Crore.

  • The state government has approved a housing scheme to construct houses for 28 Lakh families, payment will be made on installment basis directly to the beneficiaries.

  • 1000 youth will be provided training in English, Japanese, French, German and Korean Languages to prepare youth for global opportunities in customer-centric sectors like IT, Healthcare services and Hospitality. 

  • The government has laid the foundation for the future by creating 4 lakh jobs for the youth.

  • The e-voucher of ₹20,000 for Tablets/Laptops to meritorious students of classes 10th and 12th.

  • To strengthen the infrastructure of the state, an effective capital expenditure of ₹1 lakh crore and laying of a network of 42,000 kilometres of roads which will give a new direction to the pace of Rajasthan and 250 Atal Pragti Paths at the cost of Rs 500 Crore. 

  • A New scheme 'Raj Suraksha' for common people of state which will ensure free treatment in accident cases without any documents. 

  • Significant financial relief for the middle class and investors through substantial reductions in loan registration and stamp duty. 

  • Mukhyamatri Yuva swarojgar Yojana provides interest-free loans of up to ₹10 lakh for youth aged 18–45 to establish or expand businesses,  offers 100% interest subsidies, targeting one lakh beneficiaries annually through online applications. 

  • The government introduced the interest-free loans worth ₹25,000 crore for farmers and an additional bonus of ₹150 on wheat have given new hope to the rural economy.

  • Major announcements like 50% exemption in registration tax of vehicles coming from other states.

  • The facility of free transportation of dead bodies to home in case of death in government hospitals.

  • Industrial Development initiatives, new industrial parks will be built at a cost of 350 Crore in Jodhpur-pali-Marwar industrial region. And Rs 600 crore will be allocated to development of inland container deports to support new logistics hubs in the states.

  • Electric Pottery wheels will be provided to clay artisans at a cost of Rs crore.

  • The Rajasthan Foundation to open 14 chapters including South Africa and Canada. 

  • The Rajasthan Government will form 'RITI' on the basis of NITI Aayog.

  • The iStart Rajasthan Ambassador Program will be started to foster entrepreneurship by enabling individuals to mentor aspiring entrepreneurs and promote startup culture in the state.

  • The State government will renovate Anganwadi Centres allocated Rs 246 Crore.

  • Considering the environmental issue, planting 10 crore trees by next year.

  • 'Plug and Play' facility to support Small and Micro Enterprises entrepreneurs, particularly in the garment and apparel sector, to start production immediately without the need for land acquisition or construction. 

  • Rs 150 Crore allocated to 'Panch Gaurav Yojana' to further boost local economies, enhance 'Vocal for Local', and highlight the unique identity of each district. A grant of ₹700 crore for bonus on milk 

  • Opening of 60 new CNG stations and 250 EV charging points in the state have also been made in the budget.

  • Rs 1020 Crore allocated to resolve the issue of rainwater drainage blockages and flood management, Rs 500 Crore to Jaipur and Rs 200 Crore to Ajmer.

  • Rs 500 Crore will be allocated to install 7Lakh Street lights in the state.

  • New Jail will be constructed in Jaipur, Alwar and Jodhpur.

  • Extension 150 more Rani Laxmi Bai Kendra (Rani Laxmibai Self-Defense Centre) to provide self-defense training to female students in government colleges. 

  • 'Rajasthan Testing Agency' on the basis of National Testing Agency (NTI) to bring the transparency and address the issue of paper leak in the state government exams
