With the commencement of Operation True Promise 3, Iran has further escalated the existing war between Israel and Iran by launching missile strikes on critical Israeli infrastructure for the third day in a row. The campaign, headed by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), brings in a new phase of missile warfare employing artificial intelligence (AI) and decoy saturation techniques. The operation is a direct response to Israeli preemptive bombings on Iranian nuclear and command centers.

Iran launched Operation True Promise in response to Israeli strikes against Iranian military personnel and nuclear enrichment sites. The current strike is the third edition of this operation, being called Operation True Promise 3.

What is Operation True Promise?

Iran launched a military campaign, named Operation True Promise, against Israel in retaliation, targeting cities and key infrastructure. The operation was led by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). It was a response to Israeli attacks on Iranian nuclear sites in Natanz and Isfahan, as well as the killing of top Iranian generals. The main targets of this military campaign included major Israeli cities like Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Rehovot.

How Did Operation True Promise Manage to Get Past Iron Dome?

In order to overload Israel's air defense systems by causing internal target conflicts, the IRGC claimed to have created a unique strike technique that involved various kinds.

During the attack, Israel's infamous defense systems, such as Iron Dome, were forced to misidentify or intercept one another due to the mismatched threat signatures caused by simultaneous launches.

Some missiles deliberately used as decoys to generate false positives on Israeli radar systems and confuse them.
