List of Miss World Winners (1951-2025)

List of Miss World Winners (1951-2025): Kiki Håkansson of Sweden is the first Miss World who was crowned in 1951 while Reita Faria became the first Indian titleholder in 1966. Miss World 2025 winner is Opal Suchata from Thailand. She was crowned by the previously reigning Miss World, Krystyna Pyszkova, on 31 May 2025.

List of Miss World Winners (1951-2025): Since its beginning in 1951, the Miss World pageant has celebrated not only beauty but also intelligence, compassion, and social commitment. Over the years, numerous women from around the globe have earned the coveted crown, using their platforms to advocate for various humanitarian causes. 

Miss World 2025 coronation took place at HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, where 108 contestants from across the world competed for the coveted crown. The event was co-hosted by Miss World 2016 Stephanie Del Valle and Indian presenter Sachiin Kumbhar, featuring performances by Bollywood actors

Krystyna Pyszkova crowned her successor, Opal Suchata of Thailand, at the event. Miss World 2025 1st Runner Up is Ethiopia's Hasset Dereje while the 2nd Runner Up is Maja Klajda from Poland.

Miss World: Key Highlights

1- Miss World 1973 Marjorie Wallace became the first winner who was fired in March 1974, for "failing to fulfil the basic requirements of the job". 

2- Miss World 1980 Gabriella Brum resigned a day after winning the coveted title. She initially claimed that her boyfriend disapproved but later it was found out that she has been forced to resign due to her naked photoshoot with a magazine. 

3- Miss World 2002 pageant was scheduled to be held in Abuja, Nigeria but was relocated back to the United Kingdom owing to riots in the region.

4- Miss World 2008 pageant was scheduled to take place in Kyiv, Ukraine but was relocated to South Africa due to the diplomatic crisis between Russia and Georgia.

5- Håkansson remains the only Miss World crowned in a bikini.

6- Back-to-back country winners happened thrice-- Sweden (1951 and 1952), the United Kingdom (1964 and 1965), and India (1999 and 2000).
