UPSC Application Form 2026: The UPSC has invited applications from the eligible candidates for 933 posts in the Group A and B services in the government. Those who are eligible and interested can apply between 04 February and 24 February 2026 (till 06:00 pm), The UPSC conducts the CSE once in a year to recruit candidates for All India Services.

The UPSC Application Form 2026 is the online registration process for the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE). The exam includes recruitment to the post of IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS, and other Group A and B services. Candidates are required to fill the application form in order to participate in the Preliminary Examination of UPSC CSE 2026. The form is available on the official UPSC application portal.

How to Fill UPSC Application Form 2026 at upsconline.nic.in

Those who wish to apply for UPSC CSE 2026 must first register for the One Time Registration (OTR) process before filling the application form. The new UPSC portal consists of the three common modules which are to be filled by all the candidates aspiring for all the recruitment examinations conducted by UPSC. The fourth module is related to the “Examination”, where the candidates have to specifically select the exam name for which they want to appear. To fill the application form, follow the steps provided below:

Step 1: Visit the official UPSC application portal: upsconline.nic.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, in the Examinations section, click on View Notices to see what all new notifications are available. Download the Civil Services Examination 2026 notification and read it thoroughly.

Step 3: Click on the Login button to fill the application form. You can login through 

• Mobile Number and OTP

• URN and Password (URN will be available after completion of Universal Registration)

• Email ID and Password

Step 4: To apply for UPSC CSE examination, you need to go to the 'Examinations' dropdown and click on the 'Apply for Examination' link after completing the CAF.

Step 5: After clicking the 'Apply' button, you will need to lock your CAF data for that particular examination. 

NOTE: Once locked, you will not be able to make any changes to your data for that specific exam. Therefore, on the next page, carefully verify all your details. If you notice any errors up to this point, please update them. Otherwise, once you lock the data, you will not be able to edit it under any circumstances for that examination.

UPSC Application Fee 2026

The application fee for UPSC CSE 

• General/OBC/EWS male candidates: ₹100

• SC/ST/Female/PwBD/Ex-servicemen:Nil or fee exempted

Payment can be made online through debit/credit card, net banking or other modes available on the portal.

UPSC CSE 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The UPSC CSE eligibility criteria is very simple. The candidates are only required to possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised University in India.
