The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued the official notification regarding the postponement of the SSC CGL 2025 Tier 1 exam, which is scheduled to be held from August 13 to 30. The announcement has put an end to uncertainty and speculation that had been circulating among aspirants after Selection Post Phase 13 exam. You can check the official SSC CGL Postponed Notice on the official website of SSC, ssc.gov.in.
As per the official notice, the commission stated that the decision to defer the exam comes in response to directions from the Supreme Court. The Court had advised SSC to implement key reforms in the way Computer-Based Examinations (CBEs) are conducted. As a result, the commission will now re-conduct the SSC Selection Post Exam, which took place from July 24 to August 1 at 194 exam centres. The SSC CGL 2025 exam will now be held in the first week of September 2025.
SSC CGL Postponed
The Staff Selection Commission has released the official notice announcing the postponement of the SSC CGL exam. This decision was taken after the candidates protest against the SSC Selection Post exam. The introduction of a new Computer-Based Test (CBT) vendor has reportedly caused operational issues, including login failures, server crashes, questions not loading correctly, and last-minute cancellations at certain centres. In response, the court directed the Commission to re-conduct the exam after implementing key reforms. The SSC CGL exam is now scheduled to be held in the first week of September 2025.
So, candidates are advised to continue focusing on their preparation and utilise this extra time. They are also advised to visit the official website regularly, as admit cards and city intimation slips will be released anytime soon.
