The Intelligence Bureau (IB) is one of the most prestigious government organizations in India. Every year, it recruits eligible candidates for various posts, including the Junior Intelligence Officer (JIO). The IB Junior Intelligence Officer Selection Process 2025 is designed to pick the most deserving candidates through multiple stages.

Candidates are shortlisted for further rounds such as the Skill Test, Interview/Personality Test, and Document Verification based on performance in the Computer-Based Test (CBT). Below is the detailed process:

Resolution of Tie Cases in IB Junior Intelligence Officer Recruitment 2025

There can be situations where two or more candidates secure the same total marks across Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III during the IB Junior Intelligence Officer Selection Process 2025. The Intelligence Bureau follows a specific tie-breaking procedure to ensure fair and transparent selection. The rules are applied step by step until the tie is resolved:

  1. Tier I Marks: The candidate scoring higher marks in the Tier I (Computer-Based Test) will be given preference.

  2. Tier II Marks: If Tier I scores are the same, the candidate with higher marks in the Tier II Skill Test will be ranked higher.

  3. Tier III Marks: If Tier I and Tier II marks are also equal, then the candidate with higher marks in the Tier III Interview/Personality Test will be placed above.

  4. Date of Birth: The older candidate will be ranked higher in merit in case all exam marks remain identical.

  5. Alphabetical Order: If the tie still continues, the candidate whose first name comes first alphabetically will be given priority.
