PSU Recruitment through GATE
The most common method to get a job at PSU is through recruitment through GATE. Candidates who obtain the qualifying marks in the GATE exam are eligible to apply for the next stage of the selection process by the PSU which is usually a Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).
Based on the candidate’s marks in GATE, GD and PI, candidates are shortlisted for appointment. Some PSUs use only the candidate’s GATE scores to finalise candidates for appointment.
PSU Recruitment through Entrance Test
Certain PSUs conduct an entrance test to shortlist candidates for recruitment into a PSU. The candidates who qualify for the written test are called for further rounds of selection. Thereafter, a GD or PI is usually conducted.
