Bobby Sherman was born on July 22, 1943, in Santa Monica, California, to Robert Cabot Sherman Sr. and Juanita Sherman. He had started making appearances at Hollywood events since 1964. His big break came when he joined ABC’s music show Shindig! as a house singer. Later on, Sherman gained fame for his 1969 hit single, Little Woman,” which was at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and sold over a million copies. 

Over the years in industry, he has released 107 songs, 23 singles, and 10 albums, racking up seven Top 40 hits, seven gold singles, one platinum single, and five gold albums. He was mostly popular in Canada, where many of his songs broke into the Top 20.

Life Beyond Industry

After the peak of his entertainment career, Sherman shocked many fans by leaving the industry in the mid-1970s. After this, he later started serving as a technical Reserve Police Officer in the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and started training thousands of people in CPR and first aid. In addition to this public service, Sherman and his second wife also co-founded the Brigitte & Bobby Sherman Children's Foundation, which offers education and music programs to students in Ghana.
