GDS 4th Merit List 2026: India Post has begun the India Post GDS document verification 2026 process for candidates selected in the GDS 3rd merit list. Candidates included in the merit list must complete their document verification process. According to the official notification, shortlisted candidates should get their documents verified at the Divisional Office of the Division to which they are selected till 26 May 2026.
The candidates earn a decent salary based on their position. The candidate selected for the post of Branch Post Master (BPM) earns Rs 12,000-29,380 per month and ABPM/Dak Sevak earns a salary of Rs 10,000-24,470 per month.
This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 28,636 posts, out of which 12,696 posts are reserved for General category, 5,694 posts for OBC, 3,942 posts for SC, 2,716 posts for ST, 2,719 posts for EWS and 869 posts for differently abled candidates. The India Post GDS merit list is being released circle-wise for all the states including Rajasthan, Haryana, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Northeast Gujarat, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal.
GDS 4th Merit List 2026: Document Verification
The India Post GDS 3rd Merit List 2026 was released on 11 May 2026. The candidates who were shortlisted in the list for all the circles are required to appear in their respective divisional office for the document verification process. For the DV (Document Verification), candidates will be required to attach all original documents as well as self-attested photocopies. If the document verification is not completed before the last date, the application will be rejected.
