CBSE Class 10 Elements of Business (Subject Code 154) 2026-2027 is a stepping stone for students who wish to enter the world of business, commerce and corporate management. This Course will take a new approach to teaching concepts in lieu of rote learning, and more of a focus on core commercial literacy, when aligned with the modern parameters of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The assessment structure has been carefully designed to be a blend of theory (70 marks) and practical/project assessment (30 marks).
Class IX lays the foundation of the business while Class X takes the students level up with advanced concepts of business operations such as corporate structuring, financial sourcing, corporate communication and modern marketing trends.
It aims to foster competency-based knowledge for the secondary school students for their competitive advantage in understanding the working of corporate entities on a global level.
